Disposable nappies make up around 4% of all household waste as each of our babys require 4,500 nappy changes from birth to potty training.

Four and a half trees are destroyed to keep one baby in disposable nappies for 30 months and in the UK alone we discard 63 million disposables each week.

Myths about using cotton nappies still abound; they're hard work, there's nowhere to dry them etc etc. No doubt it was hard work for our grandparents before the days of washing machines but how difficult can it be to press a button or turn a dial and a short while later hang them to dry?
